実はこれを２回見たのだ。だが、１回目は完全に爆睡。疲れていた模様。多分おもしろくなかったんだろうなと１人で納得していたのであるが、とある事情でもう一回見たら、おもしろいじゃん。アクションのアイデアも、その連続ぶりも快調なのだ。トム・クルーズがちょっと鼻につくかな？（笑）

これも期待が大きすぎたかも。予告の「テルーの唄」が心にじ〜んと来すぎていたかも。あの唄にあった「鷹のような人生」のことが描かれるんじゃなかったのか。アレンの心の闇をドドドッと訴えかけてくれるんじゃなかったのか？ テルーの孤独をジジジっと描いて、萌えさせてくれるんじゃなかったのか？ アレンの闇とテルーの孤独と鷹のゲドでうまくまとめてくれるんじゃなかったのか？ それがテーマじゃないのか？ それが、あのようなありきたりな話と演出で終わってしまうとは。もったいないっすよ。
あの「テルーの唄」の聞かせ方にしても、たとえば「太陽の王子ホルス」で見せたようなカメラ視点の移動を使って見せるとか工夫して欲しかった。「ホルス」では、仲間を求めてさまよっていると、どこからともなくヒルダの歌声が聞こえてきて、それに惹きつけられるように、カメラも迷路を進むように動きながら、やがてヒルダに近づくという、当時としては非常に印象深い演出をしていたのだ（偉そうに言ってるけど、リアルタイムでは知らなくて、後になってから見たんだけど）。アレだけ惹きつける歌なんだから、もうちょっと工夫しろよ。もっとアニメらしい見せ方の斬新さが欲しかった。
それになんだ？！ エンドロールを見ていたら、原案：「シュナの旅」とあるじゃないか！ ええ！ アレを使っちゃったのか！ あれこそ、ハヤオお父さんに短くてもいいから作って欲しかったのに。うう、またまた、もったいない。

あの「テルーの唄」の聞かせ方にしても、たとえば「太陽の王子ホルス」で見せたようなカメラ視点の移動を使って見せるとか工夫して欲しかった。「ホルス」では、仲間を求めてさまよっていると、どこからともなくヒルダの歌声が聞こえてきて、それに惹きつけられるように、カメラも迷路を進むように動きながら、やがてヒルダに近づくという、当時としては非常に印象深い演出をしていたのだ（偉そうに言ってるけど、リアルタイムでは知らなくて、後になってから見たんだけど）。アレだけ惹きつける歌なんだから、もうちょっと工夫しろよ。もっとアニメらしい見せ方の斬新さが欲しかった。
それになんだ？！ エンドロールを見ていたら、原案：「シュナの旅」とあるじゃないか！ ええ！ アレを使っちゃったのか！ あれこそ、ハヤオお父さんに短くてもいいから作って欲しかったのに。うう、またまた、もったいない。
